Liverpool Makers Market Pop-Up | TheBigBoyBakery | 15/03/2026

What Actually Happened

Hey, I’m Sara, the founder of The Big Boy Bakery 👋

I just wanted to write a quick blog after our first-ever pop-up in Liverpool, because honestly… I still can’t believe how it went.

Our First Pop-Up

I held the first pop-up at the Bombed Out Church on the 15th of March at The Makers Market, and it felt like it was non-stop. I actually mistakenly promoted it as starting an hour later than it did, but people were still there early, and the queue just kept building throughout the day.

Seeing people come down to try something I’ve been building behind the scenes for so long was mad.

The Cookies

If you’ve never had them before, I bake NYC-style cookies — thick, stuffed cookies.

Everything is baked fresh in small batches, and the whole idea is that they’re not just normal cookies, they’re something BIG BOY. The kind of thing you actually look forward to eating (or sharing… if you really have to).

What I Took From It

The biggest thing for me was just seeing how much people actually enjoyed them. It felt like everything I’d been doing and sharing online was actually coming to life.

I did end up selling out, which felt mad seeing it happen in real time.

What’s Next

I’ll be popping up around the city of Liverpool. Where are you gonna catch me next?

One thing I will say is, if you’re planning on coming, pre-ordering is probably your best bet.

It guarantees you get what you want, and you’re not stressing about things selling out.

Final Thoughts

This was just the start for The Big Boy Bakery.

If you’ve already come down and supported, I appreciate it more than you probably realise. And if you haven’t yet, hopefully I’ll see you at the next one.
